It has been brought to our attention that
there is a problem facing our racers as we head into the 2009 season. Due to
the economy and the lack of available stock parts, we are going to make one
rule change.
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY:
Aftermarket, steel, straight-plug heads are
LEGAL for Baer Field Speedway Street Stocks.
Any cars using aftermarket heads will be
required to weigh 3,050 lbs after any race.
Change engine rule #2 to read the following:
·
NO high rise or bow-tie
intakes. NO boat, truck, or tube-type exhaust manifolds allowed. NO cutting
or altering of intake or exhaust manifolds. No high-performance parts even
if stock O.E.M./NO Ford, GM, Mopar High Performance, aftermarket, or
aluminum blocks or intake manifolds. Aftermarket heads ok, steel only! No
aluminum! (No angle plug heads allowed). NO roller cams or lifters.
Roller tips, roller rockers, and long slot rockers are optional.
We apologize for making this rule change so
close to the start of the season.
Thanks for your continued support!
