These Rules
and Policies are in conjunction with the previously posted Kart
Rules for 2011 and are meant to apply primarily to the Baer
Field Dirt Track. As it applies to the Dirt Track, these Rules
and Guidelines will supercede anything else previously
published.
RACE
LINE-UPS
The line-ups
will be posted on the board in the staging area. It is YOUR
responsibility to know the event schedule and to be in position,
on the grid, when it’s time to go racing. Know who is supposed
to be around you so that you can fall into position quickly both
for the initial start and any restarts.
STARTING
PROCEDURE
Once the
gate is open, the field will enter the track and drive around to
the official and stop. If someone around you stalls, please
leave room for them once you enter the track, so that they can
fall in line. Once the field is properly assembled, it will then
be released and will receive the green flag the first time by
the flagstand.
RACE STARTS
AND RESTARTS
Field shall
stay in formation, bumper-to-bumper until green is displayed. In
the event of a caution, fall in line and we will put you in
position based on the last completed lap.
PIT GATE
Once the
gate is closed, it is closed.
“TAP-OUT”
RULE
If you are
involved in causing a yellow and you know you are in the wrong,
go to the tail, “tap out”, and the race will go on. If no one
“taps-out”, all cars involved will go to the tail by basis of
the “spinner-spinnee” rule. END OF STORY!
FLAGSTAND
AND OFFICIALS
NO ONE,
repeat NO ONE,
will be allowed to stand next to my flagman in any way during
the racing program! Also, no one is allowed to stand along the
fence in front of the grandstands. Please have a seat, and enjoy
the races.
We want this
to be a family-friendly track and will not tolerate displays of
bad sportsmanship. We will make mistakes and we apologize for
them in advance. Please try to work with us to have a nice
racing experience and we will try to work with you in return.
This is a nice facility you have here, please give us a chance
and I think you’ll enjoy it!
